On May 3, 2007, The University of Texas Pan American Austin Alumni Chapter held a reception honoring President Blandina Cardenas at the beautiful, historic Caswell House in downtown Austin, Texas.

The newly formed UTPA Austin Alumni Chapter, dedicated it's first scholarship to President Cardenas for her enduring service,

visionary leadership and resolute commitment to educational excellence.

 

Officers for 2009-2010 are Gloria DeLeon - President, Marcy Cavazos-Colunga - President Elect, Carmen Guerra - Secretary, Christopher Ortiz - Treasurer and Elizabeth Lopez - Historian. Pictured is President Blandina Cardenas receiving a plaque from Carmen Guerra.
