UTRGV joins UTPA in discussing diabetes at MORE Health @UTPA 04-20-2015

Dr. Francisco Fernandez, inaugural dean of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine, and Dr. Sarah Williams-Blangero, director of the South Texas Diabetes and Obesity Institute, are scheduled to speak at the third annual MORE Health @UTPA, which runs from April 30-May 2 at The University of Texas-Pan American.

To increase understanding of folk healing in the Rio Grande Valley and commemorate the 40th anniversary of Proyecto Comprender, a unique research project focused on curanderismo, The University of Texas-Pan American’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences will host the conference Folk Healing, Curanderismo, and the Practice of Biomedicine April 22-23.
